From then on, Handan, a name of geographical concept, for three thousand years, has not been changed.
从此——邯郸，一个地理名词的概念，延续三千年，至今未改变。
Standing by the Taihang Mountains, on the southern Hebei Plain,
坐落太行山畔，傲立冀南平原；
In the original site of ancient Yan and Zhao States, north of the Yellow River;
雄踞燕赵大地，驻足黄河北岸。
With nature's treasures, and outstanding people,
物华天宝，人杰地灵，

Cishan, the birthplace of Cishan Culture, a civilization of eight thousand years, where the early Neolithic human beings once lived.
磁山文化拨开八千年的文明起源，新石器早期人类已在这里繁衍。
Our ancestors reproduced and expanded here, and the capital of Zhao State was constructed here.

In the Spring and Autumn period, “The Orphan of Zhao” tells the story of moral deeds, while in the Warring States period, the story of “Wearing Hu Dress And Shooting On Horse” has been praised for thousands of years.
阅“春秋”——《赵氏孤儿》播下先祖德范，读“战国”——《胡服骑射》美誉千年！
The idiom "Mao Sui Recommends Himself" expressed the voice of selflessness and responsibility, and "Returning the Jade in Perfect Condition to the State of Zhao" shows a strong sense of justice.

On the bank of Zhanghe, the brave soldiers of The 129 Division’s shed their blood for the people.
漳河畔129师壮怀激烈写下巍巍壮观。
"Longing to serve the country, we would rather sacrifice our lives".
“愿得此身长报国，何须生入玉门关。”
It is the declaration to serve the country on this piece of revolutionary land!

家在邯郸，爱悠悠，情依然。
Though you've been in trouble, and you've been bruised,
虽然你也曾多灾多难，虽然你也曾伤痕斑斑。
there is always a sunrise on the horizon, the Reform and Opening-up Policy brings the spring.
但，地平线总有新日喷薄，改革开放就是回归的春天。
A passionate land, with rich products, industrious people, and strong iron shoulders.
多情的土地，富饶的物产，勤劳的人民，担当的铁肩。
Look at today's Handan — here is the old city's changes quickly, there is the bright new district;
放眼今日之邯郸——这里是老城的蝶变，那边是新区的璀璨；
Here is the laughter of the beautiful country, there is the newly completed community and happy home.
这里是美丽乡村的欢声笑语，那边是新落成的小区幸福家园。
I walk around the fascinating Handan City, and drive on the convenient expressway;
徜徉华美时尚的邯郸城，我追逐立交高速的无限辽远；
Wandering in the ancient Zhao capital, I am deeply attracted by the colorful lights on both sides of the streets!
漫步华灯初上的古赵都，我陶醉火树银花不夜天！
Fu-He billowing, blue water twisting, siren playing, and ships navigating.
滏河潋滟，碧水湾湾，汽笛鸣奏，开出大船。
The city buildings are growing higher, the countryside is changing;
城市在长高，农村在巨变；
Landscape is picturesque, and people are smiling!
山水美如画，百姓笑开颜！
Home in Handan, — a land of 12,000 square kilometers;
家在邯郸—— 1.2万的平方故土是我可爱的家园；
Home in Handan, — with ten million people.
家在邯郸—— 一千万家庭成员是我深深的眷恋。
Carrying 3000 years of great changes, my life is only for today's brilliance!

Gao Su, King of Lanling, was a famous general in the late Northern Qi Dynasty.The Song of Lord Lanling Charging into the Enemy Battle Formation was specially composed for his campaign. There is Lanling king tomb in Ci Xian, Handan City.
